JAKARTA - Marketing Director of PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia (MNC Insurance) Rinawati said that work accident insurance products plus the cancellation of work contracts in collaboration with the All Indonesia Domestic Workers Training and Placement Association (APPSI), can claim to workers with a sum insured of up to IDR 50 million.

In addition, said Rinawati, this product also provides guaranteed protection that causes death. He guarantees that the submission and insurance claim process will be easy by simply attaching the identity of the worker who will be protected from this risk. "Yes, the insurance claim is up to Rp. 50 million and provides protection in the form of work accidents that cause death, permanent disability for domestic workers and cancellation of work contracts from agencies," he said in Jakarta, Thursday (17/12/2016).

With the launch of this product, users can use the insurance service during the coverage period for one year after the contract signing or until the claim is made.

At the same place, Operational Director of MNC Insurance Suherman Budi Darmawan stated that this insurance product was also an initiative at the direction of the Ministry of Manpower which regulates the protection of domestic workers, which this year the Ministerial Decree was issued.

"Yes, this is to fulfill the order of the Minister of Manpower Hanif Dakhiri in Permen No.2 of 2015 regarding the protection of domestic workers," he said.

Suherman promises that this product is the right solution for agencies that distribute domestic workers, service users and domestic workers themselves.

"We guarantee the submission process is easy and fast, by only attaching an official identity, so that domestic workers and service users are completely protected from the risks they bear," he concluded.
